Align take-home reading and classroom teaching

Achieving consistency between classroom learning and home reading is vital for children’s progress. Reading classroom books (decodable books and other books) at home supports fluency, comprehension and confidence.

Written for Year 2 students, the engaging activities in this journal focus on morphology, spelling rules and comprehension. The reading logs and reading awards (including fun animations!) encourage children to read regularly while taking increasing ownership of their reading journey. Parents are provided with accessible, evidence-based support giving them the tips and tools to support reading at home.

Written to support schools teaching an explicit structured literacy program (such as LLLL), these journals are the perfect replacement for any balanced literacy alternatives you may have relied on in the past.

We're dedicated to bridging the gap between evidence-based research and the teaching of reading, spelling and writing.

With training that aligns with the science of reading, teachers can understand and teach the English spelling system for both reading and writing with confidence and success.
